What is 5energies©?
5energies© is a flexible, supportive and exciting educational approach to support children’s learning.
5energies© is a new way of looking at the core skills necessary for effective learning to take place. It is an integrated framework of assessment, analysis and implementation of effective programs to suit learner needs. 5energies© is the result of an effective collaboration by teacher educators, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, IT and multimedia developers and singer / songwriters.
The educational consultancy offers integrated and holistic services to children who are experiencing learning delays, whether they are children with identified disorders or gifted and talented children with pragmatic or social interaction challenges.
The program offers:
- Comprehensive, integrated screening for children aged 3 – high school across learning domains;
- Learning sessions in small groups or individually, after school and on Saturdays, with parents in attendance:
- Trained, qualified, experienced and registered Learning Consultants and specialists delivering quality programmes;
- ‘One stop shop’ with 5energies© Speech Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and Educational Psychologist;
- Parent Information and skill development sessions in key areas of Literacy and Numeracy such as effective reading or spelling strategies;
- Teacher and school professional learning and development in the ten key domains that underpin learning;
- Distance screening and support for rural and remote families and schools;
- A range of learning resources to support learning;
- Use of fully equipped conference room, break-out rooms and facilities at the 5energies© Learning Consultancy in Burpengary, Queensland (room hire rates available upon request); and
- Helpful hints, updates, resources and training schedules in the parent and teacher sections of the website.
Why 5?
Five is a number that denotes ‘freedom and change’… freedom to try innovative and integrated ways of operating and a change to new and productive beginnings, partnerships and synergies.
There is an energy associated with change, a vibrant, exciting, connecting and liberating energy so the process is called 5energies©. There are many critical words that contain 5 letters: child, teach, learn, equal, power, today, enjoy, right, alter, ahead, peace and last of all, you + me.
There are five groups of people who can collaborate and work together to form new partnerships and energy, through helping children achieve to their full potential: 5energies© professionals, schools, teachers, parents and the children themselves.
