Alexandra Culley - Director and Speech Pathologist

Alexandra Culley is a Queensland based Speech Pathologist who worked in government and private practice, before co-developing key concepts in the 5energies© approach. With extensive experience of remote and urban clients with speech, oral language and literacy delays, difficulties and disabilities, Alexandra has a reputation as a practitioner of excellence, one who values working as part of a team to assist children.

Nancy Batenburg - Director and Educator

Nancy Batenburg has been a classroom teacher in remote and urban areas of the Northern Territory since 1973. As an Early Childhood and primary classroom teacher, Nancy’s passion and expertise are in integrated programming and planning, hands-on learning using a Constructivist approach, and effective teaching and learning strategies in multi-age classrooms. A keen believer in the pivotal role of quality teachers in the lives of the children they teach, she is also a parent who appreciates the necessity of effective collaboration with key stakeholders.

Rochelle McGuire - Administrative Assistant

Rochelle McGuire is the 5energies© office administrator, and a fully qualified Childcare Worker. She brings personal knowledge and a wealth of experience and empathy to parents of children with learning delays. She understands the frustrations and triumphs that face parents and children every day. Rochelle is your first contact with 5energies and can assist in planning your 5energies© experience.

Melinda Werder - Occupational Therapist and Learning Consultant

Melinda Werder is a Queensland Occupational Therapist. After completing her degree, she developed an avid interest and passion for working with children and went on to complete her Graduate Diploma in Education (Early Years). With this dual qualification, she found immediate enjoyment and gratification in working as part of a professional and experienced team that has allowed her to develop and integrate her skills.

Chris Willett - Educational Psychologist and Counsellor

Chris Willett is an experienced Educational Psychologist and counsellor. Her expertise is in the development of self-esteem and effective learning behaviours. She also provides parental support and counselling.

Graeme Henry - IT Consultant

Graeme Henry has over 25 years of experience in Information Technology. Throughout his career, he has been involved in a diverse range of projects, using different technologies and platforms. He has a strong interest in developing innovative approaches and has been proactive and focused on the development of online and user-friendly resources for 5energies©.

Lisa McKay - Senior Learning Consultant

Lisa McKay is an experienced educator with a particular interest in children with Asperger Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or auditory processing difficulties. Lisa’s passion is the support of children with learning delays and difficulties. Her additional training has enabled her to develop highly effective intervention and remediation programs in literacy, numeracy, oral language and sensory- motor development. She is also a journalist with extensive experience in publications.

Von McMahon - Senior Learning Consultant and Desktop Publisher

Von McMahon is a qualified and registered teacher, who has worked in a variety of primary and high schools in her teaching career. She has an avid interest in desktop publishing, and has been an important member of the team developing publication resources for 5energies©. She is a very experienced high school support teacher, and works with individual learners as well as small groups at 5energies©.
